In 2008, Dr. Monahan, her husband, and their two daughters relocated to Ponte Vedra Beach. She has also had multiple leadership roles within her children’s school parent association.

Dr. Monahan is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, as well as a member of the Florida Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She began working as an associate at Ponte Vedra Eye Associates in November 2012.
